"She had a serious injury on her head, causing damage to the active nerves. We are not sure how long it will take for her to heal from coma."
The doctor said to her, who was looking at her cousin sister, lying on the hospital bed through the window with tear-filledeyes. Not only because her uncle and aunt died but also realizing how much everything got ruined in just a moment of time. Her cousin sister lost her parents, and even got diagnosed with coma.
She was crying when a doctor puts hand on her shoulder.
"Please come to my cabin. We have to follow some procedures." Saying this the doctor left from there.
At this moment she could not believe anything what just happened before her. Taking a last glance through the window, she left from there.
She was walking to the cabin when she heard loud footsteps coming towards her. Turning her face up she saw something unbelievable through her eyes.
Her uncle Ved and aunt Zia!
She got totally surprised seeing them in front of her or somewhat she felt so much relieved. Afterall she is seeing them after 6 years.
They became a bit emotional too after seeing her. She could not utter a word from her mouth, she hugged both of them while tearing up badly. They really had an emotional bond with her, and especially she had.
"Why didn't you inform us about your arrival?" Zia asked emotionally while hugging her.
"I...I...was about to tell you." She cried.
"It's okay! We are here with you okay. Everything is fine." Ved said caressing her head. She looked both of them and felt a relieve because she could not handle this situation alone. She needed them.
"I missed you both so much!" She cried. "We missed you too baby." Zia responded while hugging.
"You are coming with us okay. We will look after the situation." He said. She looked at him baffled.
"No...i-i...am not coming with you both." She said.
"Mayra! But where will you live? You know right your uncle-aunt-" Zia said but she was inturruped midway by her.
"I know but it's my parents house. And i am not a child anymore, i-i can live there." She said nervouusly.
"But-" Ved was about to say something but Zia made him silent by putting hand on his shoulder.
"Mayra, go and have some rest for now. You are not in a condition to think anything." Zia said to her upsetly. Mayra nodded, hugged her and left from there loosely.
She is broken.
"Why did you-"
"She was not in such condition to make a decision. It will take some time, we will talk to her later. Let her go for now." Zia said interrupting her husband midway. He became silent understanding her.
FLASHBACK
"Urvi!" "Urvi!," She heard her name being called down the stairs. She hurried up from the bed immediately and looked at her ten year old daughter who was beside the bed doing her homework silently.
"Your father is back," she said, turning to look at her.
The girl looked at her in a perplexed manner before turning to her books again.
The door flung open instantly, showing a young man in his late twenties, he was tall and able bodied, fair in complexion with black hair. His face depicts anger and his eyes were bloodshot as he walked in dressed in a black fitted suit and tie."You shameless bitch!!," He slammed at her. "You thought I wouldn't be able to find out about your affairs uh!!," he yelled as he walked closer to her.
She shifted backwards gently, she knew what he was talking about and so she summoned courage and fixed her gaze on him.
"Oh.. It's a good thing you finally found out about the scandal," she smirked.
"How could you!!!" He yelled and grabbed her throat while the little girl remained in her spot watching helplessly. "Let me go!!!" She screamed as she tried to wriggle free from him.
"You daughter of a bitch!! I'll kill you!!," He thundered as he tightened his grip on her throat.
She began to choke and battle for air with her legs kicking the wall behind her. She tried to gasp for air but it seemed life was being snuffed out of her.
"Please..let.. Me go.!!!" She pleaded with hot tears flowing down her cheek."You'll know what it means to cheat on Aadhir!!," He snapped and continued to strangle her. She struggled to get free but her strength was no match for him. She gathered all the strength she had left and kicked him on his thigh violently.
He staggered backwards, releasing his grips from her as he felt the pain underneath his thigh. It was so excruciating that he lost balance and placed both hands on his thighs. He tried to get hold of her again but she bit his hands and pushed him to the bed before running out of the room while he chased after her.
The little girl continued to watch in silence. She was used to it. The tussles, the screams, the Acrimonies and all that she could remember. She opened the door and walked down the stairs slowly. She could hear their voices down the living room as they both engaged in a word battle.
"My best friend, Urvi!! You are nothing but a slut for sleeping with my best friend!!," Aadhir yelled."You're a disgrace Aadhir, for all your affairs with my own best friend!! It's pay back time, I've been lienet enough!!," She retorted and he rushed towards her instantly and ducked her head on the sofa beside her. He pounced on her and continued punching her while she cried bitterly, trying to fight back.
The little girl continued to watch helplessly from the stairs as her father continued throwing punches at her mother. When she was through with her, she walked out of the house angrily while she laid on the floor sobbing with bruises on her face. The little girl walked down the stairs towards her mother. She tried to touch her but she screamed.
"Get out! Go to your room Mayra."
But she did not move. She continued to watch her mother sobbing.
"I said go to your room Mayra!"
The little girl flinched at her mother's shout. She hurried upstairs and closed her room loudly. She fell on the bed crying. Sometimes she felt like living in a hell. It was traumatizing for her to watch her parents arguing and beating each other almost everyday. Many rtimes she felt like running far away from there but it was never possible.
Hugging her squeeze mellow, she slept while sobbing.

Next morning she woke up and went out of the room to check on her mother.
She was about to step downstairs when she heard them talking.
"Mayra will not live with us here. It's not right for her to live here so i have decided that she will go to my friend's house." She listened her father declaring in a serious voice.
"What are you talking? Have you lost your mind Aadhir? Why she will live in your friend's house? How can we let our little girl go to a strange house?" Her mother spoke out in disagreement.
"I'm taking a right decision. My friend Ved Mehrotra and his wife are ready to take her because they wanted a daughter, but they have only one son, also they know the condition of our house so they are willing to take her with them. It's not right for her to live with us. Atleast for some time until situation gets right." He explained.
"It will never get right Mr. Singhal!" She shouted.
"So let it be! They are taking her with them and that's final. They have a peaceful surrounding in their house unlike us. And i don't want my daughter to live here in such a mess. They are coming today, pack her luggage. She will live with them from now." He declared calmly yet in a dangerous tone.
She listened everything from upstairs. Were they going to send her away from them? She could not understand anything. She went back to her room and sat confusingly.
***
She was watching her mother packing her books, toys and clothes in a luggage. She was sad knowing she's leaving her house and parents and that too in such a hurry. Her father took decision without even asking her if she wants to go or not.
She hugged her mother while crying. Her mother got emotional and tears welled up from her eyes. She didn't want to get separated from her child but she knew it was right decision.
"If you don't feel good there, then tell us. We'll take you back to our home okay?" Her mother assured and she nodded.
She heard the bell ring of her house.
"Maybe they have come. Let's go." She said taking her suitcase. She nodded and they went downstairs.
She saw her father standing with a couple. There was a man in a black suit, tall with a fair complexion and mascular body, and next to her a beautiful woman, with curly beige blonde hair. They were looking attractive as a pair.
She hesitated as they were looking at her smilingly, adoring her. She had never met them before.
"Mayra come, they are your uncle Ved and aunt Zia. You are going to live with them from now on. Okay baby?" Her father said as he bent down to hug her.
Mayra nodded innocently. "We will take you back after some time okay? But currently you have to go with them." He said futher and stood up from his place.
"Don't worry Mrs. Singhal, we will take care of her as our own child. She is really adorable!" Zia said as she caressed her pink cheeks. Her mother nodded unhappily. No matter what it was still strange to let her daughter go with strangers, but what she did not know was that her husband had a good friendship with Ved Mehrotra. Ved had helped him many times in his life.
"Let's go baby girl." Zia said holding her little fingers, and leaving from the enterance. She looked back at her parents and waved a 'bye' upsetly. It was strange for her to go with stangers to their house but she couldn't help. She knew why her parents have sent her away. Afterall, she always wished to go far away from there, but still it was heartbreaking to get separated like this.
